Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

This website and the software published through it are operated by LVSoftwares, the independent software house behind linhvu.net, reachable at linh.vuthai@gmail.com. LVSoftwares is the data controller for the tiny amount of personal data described below.

2. The website — what is NOT collected

• No analytics — no Google Analytics, Plausible, or anything similar.
• No cookies — the site sets none (there is only a local theme preference stored by your browser at your own action).
• No accounts, no sign-ups, no forms.
• No advertising, no cross-site tracking.

The site is plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript served from Cloudflare. Like any web server, Cloudflare keeps transient request logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) for security and abuse prevention; we do not use them for profiling and they are not merged with anything else, because there is nothing else to merge.

3. The extensions — your data stays with you

The extensions are local tools. They talk directly from your machine to the databases and brokers you configure. Concretely:

• Credentials (database passwords, SSH keys and passphrases) are stored in your editor’s secret storage, backed by your OS keychain. They are never sent to us — there is no server of ours to send them to.
• Connection metadata (hostnames, usernames, colors, tags) is stored in your editor’s local workspace storage.
• Queries and results exist only in your editor and never leave your machine except to the database you are querying.
• No telemetry. The extensions make no analytics calls, no crash reporting, no usage statistics, no update pings.

4. Buying a Pro license

Payments are processed by Paddle.com as merchant of record. When you buy:

• Paddle collects your email, payment details and applicable tax data. Paddle’s own privacy policy governs that processing.
• What reaches us: your email address and the product/plan purchased. That is all we need to issue your license key and support you. We never see card numbers.
• Your license key itself contains your email, product and dates, signed with our key. It is verified offline, on your machine — activation never contacts a server.

5. Why we keep purchase data, and for how long

Email + product + purchase date are kept to issue replacement keys, honor the per-major-version terms, handle refunds, and satisfy tax/record-keeping obligations. We keep them for as long as your license can exist (perpetual licenses: indefinitely, so a lost key can always be re-issued). You can ask us to delete your purchase record; if we do, we can no longer re-issue that key.

6. Email you send us

If you email us (support, licensing, bug reports), we keep the thread to help you and to spot recurring issues. We never add you to a mailing list — there is no mailing list.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete any personal data we hold about you (by definition: your email and purchase record). Email linh.vuthai@gmail.com and we will answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU/EEA, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date. Given the above, meaningful changes are unlikely.
