1. Who these terms cover

These terms govern the website linhvu.net and the software published through it — currently the VS Code extensions PostgreSQL Explorer, MySQL Explorer, NATS Explorer, Redis Explorer, Oracle Explorer and Git History for selections (collectively, the software). The software is written and published by LVSoftwares, the independent software house behind linhvu.net (“we”, “us”).

By installing the software or using this website, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the software.

2. The free version — free for everyone, companies included

The free version of each extension may be used by anyone, for any purpose — personal and commercial. This explicitly includes use at work: you may install and use the free version on company machines, for company projects, for client work, and as part of your job. No business license, no employer purchase, and no permission from us is required.

The only limit on the free version is the saved-connection cap (5 connections per product) shown on the pricing page.

A company never needs to buy anything for its developers to keep using the free version. Pro is per developer, and optional: a developer who wants unlimited connections buys their own license; a developer who doesn’t simply enjoys the free version. A company may, if it wishes, purchase a Pro license on behalf of one of its developers — but that is a choice, never an obligation.

3. Pro licenses

Pro is an optional paid upgrade that lifts the free version’s connection cap (unlimited saved connections). What Pro does and does not include is defined entirely by the feature table on the pricing page — nothing is Pro unless that table says so.

• Annual license — all updates, including new major versions, for as long as the subscription is active. Cancel anytime; the key keeps working until the end of the paid period.
• Perpetual license — a one-time payment for the current major version (all v1.x updates). A future v2.0 is a separate product and a separate purchase, always optional.
• Per developer — each license belongs to one person and may be activated on that person’s machines. Licenses are not floating or shared between developers.

License keys are verified offline on your machine. There is no license server, no activation server, and no phone-home.

4. Payments and refunds

Payments and tax are handled by Paddle as merchant of record; they process your payment details — we never see card numbers. See the privacy policy for what happens to your data at purchase. Every purchase is covered by a 7-day, 100% money-back guarantee: email license@linhvu.net within 7 days and the full amount comes back, no questions asked.

5. Pro is also a way to say thanks

The free versions are free forever — that is a promise, not a trial. If our tools save you time, buying a Pro license is the simplest way to support development and keep the free versions free for everyone. Contributing bug reports, ideas and pull requests on GitHub is just as appreciated.

6. Acceptable use

• Don’t redistribute the software or its license keys as if they were your own.
• Don’t share, resell, or sublicense a Pro license between developers.
• Don’t use the software to break the law or the terms of the services it connects to.

Your data — connections, credentials, queries, results — is yours and stays on your machine. We claim no rights over anything you do with the software.

6. No warranty

The software is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. It connects to databases and message brokers; double-check anything destructive, and keep backups.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits or revenue, arising from your use of the software or this website. The free version is a gift — the most you can hold us to on a Pro license is the amount you paid for it.

8. Changes

We may update the software and these terms over time; the current terms always live on this page. Material changes to the terms will be announced on the site. A perpetual license never changes retroactively: the major version you bought keeps working under the terms you bought it with.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
